1. Free Late-Night Entry To Floating Utopias
“Floating Utopias is a playful and poetic exhibition that explores the social history of inflatable objects, showing how, over the decades, they have been used in art, architecture, and activism.” – source. In this exhibition, you will get to see a large inflatable sculpture of the moon, a large and curious inflatable rabbit, and many more. It is free late-night entry to Floating Utopias on 18th to 20th July, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.!

2. ArtScience on Screen: Moon Heroes
Movie buff, this one is for you. Learn everything you need to know about the heroes that ventured into space and the heroes who stayed behind. As we all know, Neil Armstrong was the first man to walk on the moon, but did you know the team behind it? Here’s a fun fact, this screening is in conjunction with the 50th year anniversary of the Moon Landing!

3. In Love with the Moon by Kamini Ramachandran
Can you count all the moon myths? Some of the moon myths that we know are full moons make people go crazy, aliens are living on the moon, and the moon is a hollow spacecraft! Learn all the moon myths with Kamini Ramachandran as she takes you on a journey. You will have the large inflatable moon in the backdrop! It is going to be interesting!

3. AI-Qamar by -wright Assembly
Are you ready to watch a mesmerising performance? Al-Qamar (Arabic for The Moon), is a poetry and sound performance surrounding Islamic astronomy. It showcases how the moon, sun, and stars act as a guide for Muslims to navigate their daily activities. The performance is only happening for one day only. It is definitely a performance that you shouldn’t miss!

4. Beyond the Silver Glow by nada & Kiat + Deborah Emmanuel
Here’s another noteworthy performance. In response with Museum of the Moon (the large inflatable moon sculpture), this two-way collaboration brings you a sonic and movement-based performance. We are not going to lie – this is deep. Here’s an extract from the official page, “The performance will explore these cycles of harmony and conflict further for the perennial tussle for what the Moon means to us.” Get it?

5. Taking off: Singapore in Space
There are going to be many notable people that will be attending this talk. We are talking about astropreneurs, youth engineers, CEOs, and advocates! In this two-day programme of talks and discussions, hear about new technologies that will be used to shape the future of space, the importance of women in STEM, and the future for Singapore.

6. Operation: Moonshot
We save the best for the last. In this workshop, you will be joining Astronomy.SG to create Astrolabes and guage the stars, of course, you will be building your very own rocket. Make your own mini Apollo 11 rubber rocket and shoot for the moon. You will be happy to know that youth astronomers will be guiding you throughout the journey. Super fun activity!
