For fans of Nam Seng Noodle House, we have good news for you! The popular stall has reopened as Nam Seng Wanton Noodle at Toa Payoh North after more than a year of its closure in 2020! Located at Che Kitchen, a 600-seater industrial estate coffee shop, be sure to head down today!
Nam Seng Wanton Noodle Reopens!
Owned by 92-year-old Mdm Leong Yuet Ming, Nam Seng Wanton Noodle started in 1958 at Stamford Road before moving to Joo Chiat. The stall eventually settled at China Street before its closure in 2020. Although Mdm Leong will no longer be cooking at their new outlet, she will still be playing an active role by making the wantons and taking orders. Additionally, she personally sources the ingredients at the wet market every morning! Even more good news, prices at their new outlet have remained the same as last time!
The dish that draws crowds to Nam Seng Wanton Noodle is definitely their Wanton Noodle ($5)! Dig into some tasty char siew, handmade wantons, and springy egg noodles tossed in a light and oil-based savoury sauce! If the dry version doesn’t suit your preference, you can get it in soup as well! One thing to note is that unfortunately, the Wanton Noodles will be the only item on the menu. Other popular dishes like the Venison Horfun, Fried Rice, Seafood Horfun, and Soy Sauce Chicken Noodle will not be available. We can only hope Mdm Leong brings them back soon!
In the meantime, hurry down for a taste of their amazing wanton noodles today!
