Tucked away at Macpherson Food Centre lies Shun Shun Lai Laksa, a crowd-favourite that has been serving up delectable bowls of laksa for more than 30 years. The stall is a one-woman show as it is solely run by an old auntie. Even without much publicity, Shun Shun Lai has no shortage of customers and is said to be one of the best laksa in Singapore.

A bowl of laksa will only set you back $3.50 and it comes packed full of ingredients. Each bowl cis served with tau pok, fish cake and gigantic cockles. The cockles are probably one of the biggest you’ll find in a bowl of laksa and they are really fresh. The laksa gravy is thick and has a very rich hae bi taste. For those who want an extra kick, do add in their chilli and it’ll elevate your dish to another level.
