Two weeks ago, we shared the news that Japan’s most famous chain sushi restaurant, Sushiro, will be opening in Singapore! Sushiro’s opening promotion applies for premium ingredients like Otoro (fatty tuna), Ark Shell, Swordfish and Sea Urchin!
Get Fatty Tuna, Sea Urchin & More From $2.20
Sushiro sells about 1.36 billion plates of sushi and serves over 149 million customers per year. They are all over Japan, with more than 530 outlets throughout the country.
At the Tiong Bahru opening, they will offer more than 100 varieties of sushi and side dishes. Their menu is more diverse than most other sushi outlets in Singapore and you will literally be spoilt for choice! They are also not afraid of using premium ingredients that are usually quite pricey – and offering them at an affordable price!
On 19th August 2019, you can get otoro (fatty tuna), uni (sea urchin), ark shell and swordfish sushi at a cheaper-than-usual price.
Otoro, also known as fatty tuna, is the best part of the tuna. There is plenty of fat marbling throughout the slice of fish, making it melt in your mouth almost instantly. No surprise that it is also the most expensive cut of tuna. However, you can get otoro sushi for just $2.20++/pc when you order it at Sushiro on opening day.
Uni, sea urchin, is also hard to find in Singapore. If you can find it, it’ll usually cost a bomb at some atas Japanese restaurant. Its orange-y flesh is custardy and savoury, making it quite an acquired taste. You either love it or hate it. Nonetheless, it is considered a premium seafood ingredient, but you can get it for just $4.80++ for 2 pieces on 19th August.
Ark shell and swordfish sushi are also getting a discount, going at $2.20++ for two pieces each.

However, it is worth it to squeeze in just to enjoy Sushiro’s opening promotion! See you at the opening!
