KFC Is Now Offering Meat-Free Chicken But Not Vegan-Friendly Burger In Singapore

We have been seeing the rise of vegetarian and vegan products. It all starts off with the introduction of Impossible being available in different restaurants, and cafes, and even vegan-friendly ice-creams ready on the shelves of many major supermarkets. Now, KFC is jumping on the bandwagon with this exclusive drop.

We had never thought that this day would come – a fried chicken chain is offering a meat-free option. Singapore is the first-ever in Southeast Asia to roll out this interesting item. Happening from 13th January 2021, Zero Chicken Burger will be available for a limited time only.

This special burger is made with meat-free patty coated in Original Recipe marinade, lettuce, sliced cheese. For that extra flavour, it is poured with tangy barbecue sauce, and mayonnaise. To wrap it all up, it is sandwiched between two toasted sesame buns.

You can get it for ala carte at the price of $6.55, and as a meal at $8.65. Strangely, this burger is not vegan-friendly despite being meat-free. This is due to the fact that it is cooked with the same oil that KFC uses to fried their chicken.
