Here’s How To Make Milo Dalgona And More Dalgona Recipes At Home

Hello, foodies! We’ve got a couple more days to go before the end of the Movement Control Order and that means there’s still plenty of time to try new recipes. A few days ago, we released news on How To Make Dalgona Coffee and so many of you tried it! Now, we are here with a new recipe: Milo Dalgona!

Anyone can make Dalgona Coffee in just three simple steps and that’s why the recipe went viral on TikTok. Not only does it tastes super yummy, it’s super easy to make and you only need three ingredients! For those of you looking for non-caffeinated Dalgona options, fret not, because we’ve got just the thing. Check out these Dalgona-inspired recipes below that’s perfect for non-coffee lovers.

1. Milo Dalgona

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp Milo powder
  • 2 tbsp white sugar
  • 2 tbsp hot water
  • 1 cup of milk
  • Tiny bit of ovalette (optional)

Step 1: Combine Milo powder, sugar, and hot water in a small mixing bowl.

Step 2: Using a whisk or an electric hand mixer, beat the mixture for 3 to 5 minutes. Or until the mixture takes on a thick and creamy consistency.

Step 3: Pour the milk into a glass, add ice (optional) and top it off with the mixture. Add more Milo powder on top and enjoy!

2. Matcha Dalgona

Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp matcha powder
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 cup milk

Step 1: Separate the egg white into a small mixing bowl. Using a whisk or an electric hand mixer, beat the egg white until frothy then fluffy.

Step 2: On a stove, combine the sugar and water. Let the sugar syrup simmer and do not stir the mixture.

Step 3: Slowly pour the sugar syrup into the mixing bowl with the fluffy egg white. Beat the mixture until glossy.

Step 4: Add matcha powder and whisk until the mixture takes on a smooth consistency.

Step 5: Pour the milk into a glass, add ice (optional) and top it off with the matcha mixture. Enjoy!

3. Dalgona Milk Tea

Ingredients:

For Dalgona (Korean sugar candy);

  • 2 tbsp white sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tbsp hot water (optional; if sugar doesn’t melt)

For Milk Tea;

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup tea of your choice

Step 1: On a stove, put sugar into pot and let melt until golden brown.

Step 2: Add baking soda (or bicarbonate soda) into sugar syrup and stir until a sticky consistency.

Step 3: Place mixture onto parchment paper (or tracing paper), allow to cool and harden for an hour. Then, using a knife, break the sugar candy into pieces.

Step 4: Pour milk into a glass, add ice, and pour tea until almost full.

Step 5: Add Dalgona candy pieces on top, stir well, and enjoy!

Alternative Dalgona Milk Tea recipe without Korean sugar candy;

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp Thai Milk Tea powder
  • 2 tbsp white sugar
  • 2 tbsp hot water
  • 1 cup milk

Step 1: Combine Thai Milk Tea powder, sugar, and hot water in a small mixing bowl.

Step 2: Using a whisk or an electric hand mixer, beat the mixture for 3 to 5 minutes. Or until the mixture takes on a thick and creamy consistency.

Step 3: Pour the milk into a glass, add ice (optional) and top it off with the mixture. Enjoy!
