As our beloved nation turns 54, Starbucks is doing its part to commemorate this monumental day. Starbucks S’pore to Launch ‘Shiok’ Fares on 17th July 2019
Of course, when it comes to Starbucks, we will automatically think of their Frappuccinos as well as other caffeinated drinks. So let’s begin this news by taking an in depth look at the new beverage shall we? The new drink, known as the ‘Shiok-Ah-Ccino’ consists of vanilla cream Frappuccino alongside chocolate chips and is served with a waffle crisp and topped with a chocolate topper that screams ‘Shiok’ on it. Also, this drink actually garners its inspiration from our ice cream sandwiches. Kudos to your creativity, Starbucks!
‘Shiok’ Fares
Now that we’re all over the new drink, let’s take a look at the new ‘Shiok’ fares that will be available soon. First of all, there’s the Hainanese Chicken Rice Quinoa Salad with Ginger Chilli Dressing that’s perfect for both chicken rice lovers and health enthusiasts. Dig into the yummy local dish with a twist of cauliflower rice, quinoa, poached chicken slices, achar, chicken skin crisps and chicken rice sauce.
Next, is the Laksa Croissant Bowl which replaces the noodles with a croissant bowl instead. Uniqueness at its finest.Â
Following the Laksa Croissant Bowl is the savory Satay Chicken Roll. The Satay roll has fresh chicken and pineapple chunks with nutty satay sauce, between lightly toasted buns.
Following the list of savoury eats, shall we now move on to the sweet treats that will be available soon? There will be 3 new cake flavours that will entice everyone’s sweet palates. They are none other than the Raspberry Swirl Wafer Cheesecake and Blueberry Swirl Wafer Cheesecake. Telling by the name, both the cakes have luxurious cream cheese swirled with either raspberry or blueberry, nestled between two layers of crispywafers.
Finally, Starbucks will also launch the Cookies & Cream Cheesecake Sandwich which essentially features cheesecake with cookie chunks that are sandwiched between two layers of rainbow sponge cake.
